Why require 9 angles?
LOSTIGO requires front, four diagonal views, both sides, rear and dashboard/mileage. A fixed sequence reduces the risk of an employee or customer skipping a relevant area.
Every required image is a live in-app capture. Gallery uploads are optional additional evidence only.

A quality gate before the next step
Before continuing, the workflow checks resolution, brightness, contrast and approximate sharpness. A photo that is too dark, overexposed or blurred must be retaken.
This input discipline matters as much as the AI model: no damage detector can compensate for consistently poor captures.
Link CHECK-OUT and CHECK-IN
Checkout creates the initial VI record. At return, check-in links to the original inspection and the system compares BEFORE and AFTER images to highlight newly visible changes.
This creates a faster, more consistent return process for staff.
What is stored for the audit trail?
Each required capture stores LOSTIGO server time, SHA-256, file size, capture method and the quality result. This does not promise legal admissibility, but it creates a much more structured record than disconnected phone photos.
Frequently asked questions
Do we need a dedicated scanner?
Not for a basic remote visible-condition inspection. A good phone with guided capture can be sufficient. Specialist appraisal or hidden damage may require other tools.
Can staff use older gallery photos?
Not for the 9 required 360° views. Those must be captured live; gallery images are additional evidence only.
